Introduction of jack

He is my friend, not a childhood friend. He became my friend when I shifted to a new area. He was already living there in the same street. Indeed, he was the first person there to greet and welcome me. I found him quite loving and caring.

He was the most active person in my whole neighborhood. One day, when I came back from the office, he was running down the street.

I asked him, “Jack, what are you doing?”

He, while taking a pause, told me that he was just getting bored and came out to get some fresh air. I asked him then why you were running so fast. He laughed and said, “That is my style.

The story of his first attempt at riding a bicycle

Yes, Jack was 34 years old, but he had never tried bicycles before. This seems strange, but it is true. He was afraid of holding a bicycle after once falling off one in his childhood.

One day, I saw him walking while carrying a bicycle with him. He stopped for me. I asked him why he wasn’t riding his bike.

Again, in his very unique style, he laughed and told me that he didn’t know how to run it.

I offered him my help to learn how to ride a bicycle. He was very happy with my gesture of helping.

Jack learned to ride a bicycle and that was a lesson for life.

He proved a good student; he learned it in a week. I saw him riding a bicycle and running all around the street.

But in the end, when he gained the confidence to ride the bicycle, he came and told me that with this particular thing he had learned many good lessons, like;

  1. You should not be afraid of anything.
  2. Fear hinders your way of learning.
  3. You can learn anything at any stage in life.
  4. When you try, as he did, to learn to ride a bicycle, you learn.
  5. A good friend can assist you in overcoming any fear or flaw in yourself.
  6. Every new thing in life is a blessing, so take it positively.

Final notes

Many of us in our lives face situations like Jack’s. We have many fears. We have had many failures in the past. All these factors indeed hinder our ability to learn new things. But our wish to succeed and learn new things in life always helps us overcome our shortcomings.
