What is National Security Policy
National security policy is a first-ever document prepared by Government of Pakistan, which entails measures to counter traditional and non-traditional threats. It is indeed a milestone in the history of Pakistan. Changing regional and international dynamics provided Pakistan an opportunity to prioritize its national interests and main security and sovereignty according to guidelines provided by NSP.
National Security policy and Comprehensive National Security Policy (NSP/CNSP)
NSP entails only traditional security policy such as strategic security defense while CNSP includes all non-traditional threats i.e., economic, climate, educational and etc. The main focus of NSP is towards CNSP which provides guidelines to counter existential threats.
